The Accidental Hipster
The Animation Art Show opens today in The Science Gallery in Dublin and I am so excited. This is my piece titled “To Squeak or not to Squeak” and it will be auctioned tomorrow the 3rd of November and is lot number 40. I unfortunately can’t make the auction but I’ll be heading to the exhibit today to check out all of the amazing art. If you are around you should too!

Hey guys! Long time no post! Life has been sort of taken over by work recently but hopefully I can start being more active on here.

I’ve been taking part in Charlie Bowaters Character Concept Art Skillshare class and these are my drawings from the first step which is silhouette. My character is a girl in her late teens who is a little moody and not the most energetic. So far my favourites are no. 1, 3 and 5.

Haven’t posted any life drawing in a while so here is a drawing from the very last IADT Animation Soc life drawing class this year. Probably my favourite of the day.

Here is the poster for my non existent final year film, due to some unforeseen circumstances I don’t have a film for the end of year, but I will continue working on this film till it is finished as it is a labor of love.

The text and the layout for this were done by Stephen Duignan
And the artwork is by me :)
Hope everyone is having a lovely Monday.

A still from my final year film titled “Hear Her Cry”. It is a work in progress and I’m working on a showcase of 4 scenes from it for my final grade. But I will hopefully finish it over the coming months :) Character Design, Background and Colour by me, Frame drawn by Stephen Duignan

A Bad Case of the Grumps
I couldn’t sleep so I did a thing! Thought I would contribute to this weeks Sunday Gif Friends theme! Huzzah for Grumpy Cat and his adorable squishy face!

Finished background. I’m still messing around with the colour a bit and trying to brighten it without losing the night time feel, but I’m really happy with it. Now just to finish all the other backgrounds!

Painting backgrounds in between animating! This isn’t fully finished, I’ll post the complete version later on, but I just thought I’d show some of my process :)

The second character from my 4th Year Film. This is Jess :) Her hair colour may change pretty soon, but it will stay like this for the momento anywho!

This is Nana Briggs.
I have started doing these daily warm ups where I create a character for a fictional little town. Mrs. Briggs was the first one I drew, and she is the local librarian. Books are her life, as are her grandchildren and her cats.
