The Animation Art Show 2014 is on this weekend. A number of the Geronimo crew have pieces in this years show, so if you would like to feast your eyes on some amazing art, created by the animation community of Ireland and abroad then you should head on down to Templebar Gallery + Studios. The show opens tonight at 6 o’ clock with a (adults only) shindig and then the exhibition continues Saturday and Sunday morning. These amazing art pieces will then be auctioned off Sunday afternoon, with all the proceeds going to two deserving charities. This year, the money raised will be going to the ISPCC and The Jack and Jill foundation. http://www.ispcc.ie/http://www.jackandjill.ie/
Can’t make it to the show, but see a piece of art that you must have for that empty space of wall? No need to fear! They have opened absentee bids this year. If you would like to bid on a piece you can find the form and the whole catalogue on the site. www.animationartshow.com
It’s set to be a great show, and it’s for a great cause. So come on down and ogle some art. Hope to see you there!
My Macbeth Badger will be on display this weekend. This is going to be an amazing show, so if you are in the Dublin area this weekend, make sure to come to Templebar Gallery + Studios to have a look!
It’s collection day for The Animation Art Show 2014. The art show is an annual art exhibition and auction featuring the talented people if the Irish animation industry as well as some international contributors. It’s an amazing show and it’s always great to see the community rally together for a great cause. The charities this year are the ISPCC and the Jack and Jill Foundation.
This is my piece for this year, titled “Is This a Badger I See Before Me?”
When I was racking my brain I was trying to think of what I wanted to paint, I instantly went back to my Hamlet mouse last year and though that it might be fun to do another Shakespearian animal. So meet Macbeth Badger! I’m very happy with him, and I hope he finds a good home after the auction on the 19th of October. It will also be on display in the Temple Bar Gallery + Studios on the evening of the 17th and all day on the 18th so you should definitely check out what is bound to be a fantastic show!
This week’s superartfight stream with @thethirdrlm, Brandon Chalmers, Dann “Charm City Shinobi” Malihom, Ashley “Markermancer” Katz, me, and special guest claireor!
It’s a lot of fun to watch and draw along with. If you do, post your sketches #superartfight!
Had great fun on the Super Art Stream last night! You can watch it here, my connection wasn’t great so I had to draw traditionally off camera but you can still see the finished project haha! Thanks to the Super Art Fight guys for letting me join in and hopefully we can do it again in the future :D
Oh Hi There! I’m gonna be part of this stream on Sunday evening!! You should definitely check it out if you’re around. There will be fun times, doodles and me being really aware of my own accent! It’s gonna be great!
Joker drawn for sketch dailies a wee while ago. I’ve been terrible when it comes to updating this blog. Hopefully I can remedy that, I’ve been sketching a lot so I’ll post some of that stuff in the coming days!
Long time no post! I really need to get better at posting things here. Anywho, I recently invested in a 22HD cintiq and tonight was really the first night I got to sit down properly and give it a go! I only did a really quick doodle of a character design that I’m working on, but I have to say I’m sort of in love.
So I will leave you with this for now, and hopefully I will improve in regards to updating this blog!
The Animation Art Show opens today in The Science Gallery in Dublin and I am so excited. This is my piece titled “To Squeak or not to Squeak” and it will be auctioned tomorrow the 3rd of November and is lot number 40. I unfortunately can’t make the auction but I’ll be heading to the exhibit today to check out all of the amazing art. If you are around you should too!
